Building 101: Trim

I debated even sharing this because the trim in our house is so simple. As many of you know, I wanted to keep the house super minimal so we could liven things up with decor, and our trim is included in this as well.

Most of you also know that we built this house a budget with the attitude that we can add more or DIY later so we didn't do any fancy trim walls (though I do have some DIY ideas).

Here's the low down:

• All of our trim in the house is the same, no rooms are any different than another

• We didn't do a traditional window sill but we do have a ledge which still leaves us a good sized area for decor

• All of our trim is MDF that's been painted white. This saved us a ton of money but if I did it again, I would splurge for nicer trim.

Door Trim is 2.5"

Floor Trim is 4.5"

Window Trim is 2.5"
