DIY Halloween Sign (Print At Home!)

With our new build, I wanted to add more decor but we are also trying not to spend a lot of money. I created this halloween sign with Canva and it was so easy, quick and only requires a printer!

Here's how to make this exact design:

  1. Go to canva.com and click Create A Design.

  2. Press custom dimensions. I created this one as an 11 x 17 but the size is up to one.

  3. Once in your design, make the background black by clicking on the color box at the top (black is #000000).

  4. Click the Text button on the left and press Add A Heading.

  5. Make the text white (#FFFFFF) and select the font that you prefer (I used Abhaya Libre Regular).

  6. Type in what you want your spooky text to say!

  7. Press Elements on the left and search for an graphic to use. I like the cauldron, witches broom and the playing cards. Make the graphic white.

  8. Press the Text button and add a heading again. Make this font white as well and add any additional text you like. See the graphic to see what I wrote!

  9. I used the Elements tool and got a small white circle for the dots between the text.

  10. Press download in the upper right hand corner to save it to your computer. I export mine as PNGs since they are a bit higher quality.

  11. Print and enjoy!

I came up with a couple different options. I put the cauldron one in our entryway and the broom one in our half bath. Tag me on instagram if you create them!

Here are the other ones I came up with!
