One of my favorite Instagram trends right now are the stamped book stacks. When I see things like this, I often think, "I could make that." So cheap and so easy to make- it only took $5 and 10 minutes to make!
First things first, get some books. I went to my local thrift store and grabbed 3 paperback books that were about the same size. Make sure to check that the edges of the pages aren't yellowed or they won't look as nice in the stack. I wouldn't recommend a hardback book as it's more difficult to pull off the cover. Total spent on books = $1.50.
Next, I brought them home and pulled the covers off the books. To remove the cover on the paperback book, open the cover of the book and pull it away from you. For some books, the cover is easy to rip off. If the cover does not come off easily, grab a hair dryer and heat up the spine to loosen some of the glue and slowly peel back the cover to expose the spine.
Repeat that for all the books in the stack. You could paint the spines but I liked the raw look of the books unpainted.
After you get the covers off, it's time to stamp. I picked up these stamps from Hobby Lobby and got some black ink to use.
Then I got to stamping! I stamped "enjoy the little things" but you can stamp whatever you'd like. I absolutely loved the result and it was so easy. I finished mine by wrapping it with some jute and putting a sprig of faux eucalyptus on top.
