One Room Challenge: Week 2

We made it through week one of the One Room Challenge! This week was a big prep week, getting the space prepared to really get the ball moving.

This week included:

  • Lots of measuring... and measuring and measuring and measuring.

  • Gathering materials (drop cloths, acrylic for the door,

  • Buying furniture- I bought the most incredible storage container made from old explosive containers from a vintage store that I think will be the perfect addition to the industrial theme of the space)

There's only a few more big things that I want to bring into the space but week two is when the work is finally going to begin.

If you missed my Instagram stories, I think I've decided on using a drop cloth for the wall coverings as opposed to painting them (see this article for reasons why to avoid painting a poured concrete wall). I also asked for votes on my Instagram and most of you voted for me to leave the drop cloths natural, rather than dye them.

Here's a quick reminder of what I'm planning:

Let's kick off the next week with some work!
